Domains are defining the graphical language in Vithanco. A domain contains a set of Node Types. Part of the Node Types definition is the which Node Types are to be connected by Edges. Therefore they describe how to build graphs. Each Domain has a different use case. Using the right “language” for the use case is the best way to start a meaningful diagram.
Vithanco provides out-of-the-box support for several Domains that make your life easier.
Below is the list of current Domains. (Updated November 2018)
- Structured Thinking Domains include Concept Maps and IBIS Diagrams. These Domains help to simply get your head around something by providing structure.
- The Theory of Constraints (TOC) thinking processes are focusing processes that help you to answer the following questions:
- What to change?
- What to change it into?
- How to cause the change?
- Project Management Domains are useful for projects. Benefit Breakdown Structure supports the project analysis by starting with the end in mind (the project’s objective and associated benefits) and then thinking backwards in order to identify the (business) changes that generate these processes and the enabler necessary for the changes. Impact Mapping is useful to brainstorm about potential features.
